Hi, I’m Robert Wittenberg and I’ve been the Oakland County Treasurer since July 1, 2021. I’m excited to announce that I am running for re-election in 2024!

During my tenure as Treasurer, I have been a compassionate and responsible steward of Oakland County resources. Here are a few accomplishments I am proud to highlight:

• Established the first-ever Oakland County Land Bank Authority to help with economic development throughout the county.

• Implemented a robust tax foreclosure prevention effort which resulted in the lowest number of property tax foreclosures ever in Oakland County.

• Updated the county investment policy for the first time in 20 years and earned my Certified Public Funds Investment Manager accreditation.

• Worked with my colleagues to maintain the county’s coveted AAA Bond rating.

• Launched new software systems for added efficiency and transparency.

I love helping people, and that is why I am in public service. I truly enjoy the work I do as Treasurer, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Oakland County residents and businesses.

We accomplished a lot, but the work is not done. My top priorities will continue to be protecting the financial security and well-being of every resident in Oakland County, maintaining our AAA Bond rating, and working to make Oakland County a wonderful place to live and work. I will do all I can to secure taxpayer dollars, preserve property values, and prevent foreclosure.
